I understand that The Chicago Art Auction will execute my bids as an additional service at the bidder’s risk and is undertaken subject to The Chicago Art Auction’s other commitments at the time of the auction. Therefore The Chicago Art Auction cannot accept liability for errors or failure to place such bids, whether through negligence or otherwise. On my behalf, The Chicago Art Auction will try to purchase these lots for the lowest possible price. If identical absentee bids are left, The Chicago Art Auction will give precedence to the first one received. Where applicable my submitted bids will be rounded down to the nearest amount consistent with the auctioneer’s bidding increments. I have read and agree to the Conditions of Sale listed on this website. Payment for successful bids must be made within five (5) business days of the sale. A premium of 20% of the successful bid up to and including $100,000, 18.5% from $100,001 up to and including $300,000 and 15% on any amount exceeding $300,000 per lot, will be applied to the hammer price of all properties sold to be paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The auctioneer has the discretion to accept bids not commensurate with this pattern.
