This is not an official appraisal. The information you receive is not for purposes of insurance, auditing, taxation, trust or estate value. To do this we would have to see the actual piece of art. When appraising a piece of art for auction purposes, many factors are taken into consideration: authenticity, condition, subject matter, signature, medium, date, etc. For the purposes of this submission, it should be understood that this estimate will be made from an average of applicable recorded auction sales. The Chicago Art Auction offers auction estimates on the type of property that we sell at auction. For items that fall into areas in which we do not specialize or for items which fall below our minimum consignment value, we are not able to provide estimates or other information.
